PARKING There is designated car parking for blue badge holders on Mark Lane, approach from the traffic lights on the Headrow turning into New Briggate and then turn first left on to Mark Lane. In addition there is car parking for blue badge holders on The Headrow outside the Housing Office (cannot be used between 4pm and 7pm). Alternatively, passengers can be dropped off outside the Theatre Box Office where the kerb is lowered.
A WHEELCHAIR ACCESS LIFT There is a wheelchair access lift in the Box Office, which goes up into foyer and Stalls level where a level access lift can be taken to all floors.
WHEELCHAIR USERS Following the refurbishment, the theatre now has 13 wheelchair spaces across the seating levels; 6 in the Stalls, 4 in the Dress Circle and 3 in the Upper Circle. Wheelchair users and an accompanying carer are entitled to discounts for most shows. Please consult Box Office for further information.
UNISEX TOILETS & BABY CHANGING FACILITIES Unisex toilets for people with disabilities and baby changing areas are located in the Stalls and Dress Circle. Breast feeding mothers are welcome.
FACILITIES FOR THE VISUALLY IMPAIRED Guide dogs are welcome and a bowl of water will be provided upon request. Where audio described performances are available this will be detailed in the Access_performances_and_events area of the website.
FACILITIES FOR THE HEARING IMPAIRED An infrared system is in operation throughout all levels of the Yorkshire Bank Auditorium. Head sets are available from the sweet kiosk in the foyer for a £5 refundable deposit. Where signed and/or captioned performances are available this will be detailed in the Access_performances_and_events area of the website. Please contact box office for further advice about our infra red system and booking arrangements.
STROBE LIGHTING, SMOKE EFFECTS AND GUNSHOTS Special effects are used at some performances. Where this is known in advance details are included on the admission ticket and warning signs are displayed on all levels. Attendants will try to advise you at what point in the performance such effects may occur.
